Where Soulfulness Meets Science

How I work:

I work collaboratively and intentionally. Between-session integration, reflection, and application are part of the change process. Therapy is not just an hour a week — it is a supported transformation process designed to create lasting shifts in how you relate to yourself and others.

Therapy with me is not just about insight — it is about lived emotional experience.

Rather than only talking about patterns, we slow down in the moment and work directly with what is happening inside you — in your body, your emotions, and your relational responses.

These are the areas that most inform my work:

Holistic Mind–Body Interventions

Because stress, trauma, and attachment patterns live in the body, I integrate mind–body approaches that support nervous system regulation, including:

  • Embodiment and somatic awareness

  • Breath-based and grounding practices

  • Nutrition, sleep, movement - ways to nourish your body that help you meet your goals

  • Regulation strategies that increase felt safety

This work helps restore a sense of steadiness, resilience, and inner balance.

Mindfulness & Self-Compassion Practices

Together, we can explore mindfulness-based approaches to help you:

• Develop greater emotional awareness

• Cultivate self-compassion instead of self-criticism

• Learn to slow down without guilt

• Stay present with difficult emotions without becoming overwhelmed

These practices support lasting change by strengthening your relationship with yourself.

Evidence-Based, Science-Backed Therapy

Alongside mindfulness and embodiment, I use research-supported interventions that are proven to improve wellbeing and relational functioning, including:

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for individuals and couples

  • Attachment-based and experiential interventions

  • Positive psychology and ACT approaches to living in congruence with your values

  • Tools that interrupt repeating emotional and relational cycles

These approaches help individuals and couples move out of reactivity and into more secure, responsive, and connected ways of relating.

Socio-Cultural Attunement and Anti-Oppressive Framework

Our nervous systems and attachment patterns do not develop in a vacuum. They are shaped by family systems, culture, power, privilege, marginalization, and the social messages we internalize about who we are allowed to be.

I practice from a socio-culturally attuned and anti-oppressive lens. This means we explore not only your internal world, but also the broader systems that have influenced your identity, relationships, and sense of safety. I believe I cannot really know you, unless I know all of who you are and where you come from.

Together, we may explore:

  • How cultural narratives have shaped your self-worth and belonging

  • The impact of race, gender, sexuality, religion, ability, or other identities on your relational patterns

  • Internalized shame or invisibility connected to marginalization

  • Power dynamics within relationships

  • The stress of navigating environments that do not fully see or affirm you

My intention is to create a therapeutic space that is reflective, accountable, and actively inclusive — where your full identity is welcome, respected, and honored.
